Week(end) Word= Dragon

First off, a great big thank you to so many of you willing to play with me at the last minute, you rock!! I know it's tough to get up and moving for a weekword over a weekend when we all are catching up with our families and are busily trying to finish up tasks, and I really appreciate your willingness to play along :) Now, I would love to hand off the reins to our newest weekworder (many of you will first get to meet her this week I think) as she is my new niece, Erika! Her and my nephew from my husband's family eloped in November and are just one of the cutest couples I have ever met. She's making an effort to really get into blogging consistently and has picked up on little Weekwording game, so I figured she'd be great to choose the next word. If anyone is in the mood to be after her, do let her know won't you? Alright here we are with our Week(end)word participants and I imagine we'll get back on track for a Friday deadline post with Erika's help!

Please visit these wonderful folk and leave them a comment or two:
John  -my sweet sweet friend who I can always count on for a comment and a happy boost :)
Sally
Lobsterdance (sorry, I wasn't sure of your name :)
Katy  -who this word should be perfect for
Emma
Erika -this week's word mistress!

My small post (still sick and still pretty much barely hanging in there) for this week-end is just to share how much I absolutely love love love dragons! I've had a fascination with them ever since I can remember and have found that my most  treasured stories have always included a dragon in them of some sort.

I brought this up on my other blog (now pretty much defunct as it was put together for a project that seems to be going nowhere), but one of my favorite TV dragons was Matches from an old Scooby Doo movie

Here's also a piece of the show with Matches being a bratty little thing

He's just such a cute, fat dragon!

While I've been miserably sick in bed (now that the husband transferred his plaguish grossness to me), I've been watching How To Train Your Dragon (Toothless is so cute!!)

 The Hobbit (good ol Smaug),

The Neverending Story (my dog looks like a black and brown Falcor)

 Mulan

Sleeping Beauty (Malificent is my favorite villianess of the Disney archives)

and The Sword and the Stone.

Dragons are part of my escape path I think out of my day to day world and a direct door for escapist fantasy for me :) So in that mode, I think I'm off to escape back to bed since I can't seem to even swallow without something hurting.

Please visit Erika for your new Weekword and thanks again all!
