I love libraries. Absolutely giddy kinda like. Just thinking of the word makes me smell the warmth of old paper and worn canvas. Leather and cigar smoke. Fading autumn light streaming in through dirty windows, and the hushed quiet. I absolutely love the grandeur of old libraries. Don't get me wrong though, I like libraries anyway I can get them. From teeny tiny little ones that are reading nooks in someone's home
to the local county library, they're bastions of immense power in my eyes, and gateways to other worlds.
Please please do consider joining us for Weekword by leaving me a comment here and posting on your own blog on Friday (or later in the weekend if you are like me). I'm also posting the rules from the Weekword blog as a refresher. Make sure to go visit other players and leave a little note-we all love visitors!
RULES
For those of you who haven’t played before or just like a little refresher on the basic rules, here goes:
All you have to do for Weekword is to share in any creative outlet you would like-painting, writing, poetry, lyrics, music, photos, collage, mixed media, drawing, verse, dialogue, videos, anything really-your interpretation of that week’s word on your blog.

I'll see if I can sneak in a Weekword before I go away! But I love libraries, so it's too tempting not to try.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great word to come back to! Count me in.
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely try the mud run too - it was so much fun!
I am in ;)
ReplyDeleteDropping by to say thank you for visiting my site and I am happy to be a part of it. Thanks to Genskie. Maybe I join again if will get the idea what to write:)
ReplyDeleteI'm in!
ReplyDeleteHa I'm not really a library person so maybe I should blog about that. :D
ReplyDeleteI really hope you do Joe, it's fun to get a totally new perspective and I enjoy your writing style very much :)
DeleteBeautiful library pictures, they're really wonderful. I'm afraid I haven't had time for a weekword post (and after you asked so nicely as well!) but I did do 'book' illustration a little while back that's sort of relevant!
