Wishcasting Wednesday-How Do You Wish to Come Out of Your Shell?

Amazingly stunning creatures that have outlasted the dinosaurs, but will likely not survive us.
I've had the distinct pleasure to hold many of these in my hands on the white beaches of  Belize.

The Golden Ratio Spiral

I'm not exactly the kinda girl that needs to come out of her shell. In fact, there might be times I should probably stuff a few of my more choice phrases and opinions into a shell rather than sharing them constantly, but that's probably not likely, and I doubt I would like myself very much trying to stay pent up and confined.

This prompt made me think though about the golden mean and how the human brain and the way it interprets visual information is a communal experience shared by all human beings on the planet. We see this proportion everywhere we look-it is a naturally pleasing, stable and harmonious set of physical proportions that can be defined through Fibonacci numbers. The Divine Proportion, The Golden Section, The Golden Mean are just a few names for this ratio that has one of its most beautiful examples in the nautilus shell. What I think is most curious about the Golden Mean is that it's so deeply embedded in our psyche that we often times use this ratio in creative processes without meaning to. The Golden Mean IS beauty defined by the human mind (how's that for body image issues huh?)

There are a huge amount of artistic, architectural, and design aesthetics based around the Golden Mean and I would invite you all to please take a few minutes today to learn a little bit about the Golden Mean and then look to your natural world to see it in practice everywhere around you. Better yet, go take a look in the mirror and you will see the best example of it's power and significance staring right back at you.

We are all golden.

So what is my wish today?

I wish for us all to understand the synchronous rhythms and patterns of our internal and external world, and be aware of how connected we are.

Here are some links you might check out-I haven't had time to thoroughly research their integrity so think critically of course :) Blessings to you all!
