Wishcasting Wednesday-What Do You Wish to Shed?

Morning bloggers!

Getting back into my groove with Wishcasting via Jamie Ridler with a question about shedding. Considering how cold I am in my office this morning, I'm not so focused on shedding as I'm in finding layers to acquire! Frankly, I find that shedding makes me think of Spring-not Autumn. This is one of my favorite times of year to enjoy, but part of that enjoyment really relies on the layering of
new warm sweaters,
 and fuzzy boots-
adding vanilla to my oatmeal,
and making baked goods.
Profusions of leaves
lying underfoot,
and an extra layer of padding or two
around the tush :)

Eucalyptus shed their bark all year long-I could take a lesson or two from them

So my wish today is to shed the Summer's scattered mind and bring on the layers!

Please do visit Jamie's page and check out the other wishing hearts today!

  1. Oh Carmen the beautiful photo on you blog of the leaf is wonderful.
I know what you mean by wanting the layers in winter.
So as you wish for yourself so I wish for you also

  3. Carmen - I love the energy you bring and the wish and the photo... and I am trying to remember where Carmichael is, exactly. I live in Bakersfield and we get autumn looking leaves in about... December. (Confused California) and just last Sunday I built a snow man near Bishop. ^Shrugs^

    Anyway, I digress.

As Carmen wishes for herself, so I wish for her also!

Wish, Wish, Shed, Grow Love, Love, Love!

  4. Good morning, Carmen!! Oh, we are soul sisters! I love this time of year, and all the 'added layers' that it brings! (well, except for that tushy padding..THAT I can do without! LOL)

What a wonderful wish....May your scattered thoughts drop like fall leaves, leaving you focused and renewed.

As you wish for yourself, I wish for you as well!!

Hugs (and thank you for the heartfelt comments on my recent posts...) xoxo

  9. I had to laugh at your post - how true! Yes, we are wrapping up a bit warmer here too. Here's to the lovely jumpers and scarves you'll be wrapping yourself up in!

  10. Carmen, I think your call to layer is very appropriate. I can relate to bundling during Winter...but more so emotionally and spiritually...not so much physically. I live in a very warm climate...but my mind likes to burrow in. As Carmen wishes for herself, so I wholeheartedly wish for her also. With wishfulness, Rae the Fae

As you noted on blog, we're doing The Sketchbook Project together! I'm anxiously looking forward to its arrival and then the impending deadline! What's your theme?

  15. Yeah, I'm so lucky and super blessed today-so many comments! Thank you all for your wishes, they help a ton and it just brightens my day to see so many amazing people out there in blogsville :) @Shari, my theme is In Five Minutes...since I'm such a nasty little procrastinator de jour. :) @Julie, Carmichael is a suburb of Sacramento where I've lived for the last 12 years, but I was raised in Fresno so I'm well acquainted with Bakersfield! Yeah for you on snow men in Bishop-I majorly heart the Eastern Sierras. Gotta love California variety. Best wishes to all, and to all a good night!

I love how you worded your wish, "[shedding] Summer's scattered mind." Lovely. :)

  18. the leaves are amazing... makes me want to get outside right now (just stopped raining on the central coast) & look for outdoor "beauties"...
i have a generous stash of hand knit scarves (daughter knits)... no hats for me, but clogs & warm socks, tshirts and jeans make my day. Wish I could wear jeans to work everyday...

  20. I love love love vanilla in the winter, it makes me so happy! Christine I can say that I am incredibly lucky in that I get to wear jeans to work everyday. Hell, I can wear pajamas to work if I really had the attitude to carry it off (working with college kids all day, I tend to fit right in when I do :)
