Hi all!
I've had a super long day so I'll have to make it back tomorrow to answer the Weekword, but I'm so excited about this word! I'm so in love with Joye's beautiful painting on this word and I want to do this justice, so let me get some sleep, and I'll be back soon to post. Can't wait to see everyone's posts, and do take a chance to get a peek at the other amazingly creative ladies interpretations at Joye's blog. See you all soon.
UPDATE:
I'm so sorry this is taking me so long (and way way past the due date). We are in crisis mode with family matters right now, but I'm going to come back to this and finish this post very soon. I'm sorry for being pretty incommunicado about this, and would like to share more about family stuff, but I'm trying to respect other people's processes of grief and still find a balance where I can express myself too. Thank you all for coming by-it makes me feel good just to have your visits even if I'm slacking.
Okay so I think I'll just give in this week and allow the understanding that I'm just not having a good time right now. I have been talking about this word all week-the way the human mind actually perceives sensory information, and how wonderful Kandinsky is :) I actually did some work in a materials and techniques class where we focused our work on a specific piece from another artist and I choose Several Circles from W. Kandinsky. I'll post a few pictures of them here-it was one of my favorite assignments in an art class.
I'm disappointed that this post isn't more technical or prosaic, but at least it's completed!
