Weekword=Desiderata by Jeneveve

I'm so glad I was able to join Jeneveve in this week's word-Desiderata. I'd never read the poem the word is most known from Max Erhmann. I enjoyed it's simplicity and quietness and feel quite lucky to have experienced such a piece of work-even if it took me thirty-four years of this life to find it. My favorite line from it was this:

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.

I think I'll rely on my love of photography to illustrate the essential beauty of these words and wish you all an amazing week. I'll be back to enjoy John's word, Unity, maybe by Saturday :) Please do join us for these weekly exercises-they're a chance to connect and receive truths from others in our own love of words.

All my own photos from various places, including: Fort Bragg, CA, Olmsted Falls, OH, Sutter Buttes, CA, White Mountains, CA
